Hi!ย ๐ย It’s been a while.ย I was getting over a back injury and enjoying a concert.ย More on that later, but let me show you something awesome I found!
I had almost forgotten that I wrote my first novel with nothing but a pen and tiny pieces of paper!ย ๐
At the time, I was working an office job with empty hours between clients.ย Tired of browsing Google news, I started to jot down this idea I got in my head.ย The idea was inspired by Kerli’s song, “Walking on Air,” which I had heard one morning while driving to work.
This paper is the size of my hand, with tiny Sharpie handwritingย ๐
I would just push the work keyboard aside and write while I waited for my next client.
Why the tiny notebooks?ย Because it was all I had at the time.
On and on I wrote and stapled the papers together.ย Then I would mark the ones I had typed.
Soon the clients started pouring in (finally) and I wrote the rest of the story on my laptop at home, on my own time.
After a while, I was able to finish my very first attempt at a novel.ย I even did the ebook cover myselfย ๐ย Here is the end product:
.
Bryexe: She Lives in a Dollhouse
Also available at various ebook stores and iBooks.
I guess we really don’t need much to start writing, do we?ย ๐ย Just an idea, an inspiration, and something to scribble on.
How did you write your first novel?ย Share with us!
Take good care,
