Hello, Writers! I have a super helpful YouTube channel for you!
Ever since I found this channel, I’ve been binge-watching and taking notes. It even helped me get unstuck from starting all my chapters with “she woke up to the morning sunshine…” LoL 😂
The channel is by Ellen Brock, who (based on her about-me section) is a professional novel editor. She has really fantastic, helpful videos, such as:

I am in no way related or affiliated with the channel, I just found it on YouTube and instantly loved it 😋
Here are my favorite videos so far:
7 Reasons Readers Don’t Care About Your Novel’s Characters
How to Describe Emotion Without Being Melodramatic or Cliche
Why recommend one YouTube channel and not three?
If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you might have noticed that I like to write my posts by 3’s. My top three favorites, or three simple steps, or three recommended items/books/etc.
However, when it comes to YouTube videos, less is more.
It’s way too easy to fall into rabbit holes on YouTube. Next thing you know, you might be watching videos like “what I hate about the writing community” or “the best pen for outlining your novel.”
Nothing inherently wrong with that… but by then, is it helpful? Or is it just eating up your writing time?
So! Here is the link to Ellen Brock once again, and I hope that her videos are just as helpful to you as they have been to me! 🙂
Take care and write on,

She’s incredibly smart. Had me slapping my forehead going “why didn’t I think of that??” quite a few times. LoL 🙂
