My 3 Favorite Story Fathers

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful and loving fathers out there!

In honor of this beautiful day, I’m going to share with you my favorite story fathers ❤️

My 3 Favorite Story Fathers

1. Marlin, Finding Nemo (2003)

Marlin is such a good dad!!! 😭 He starts out a little over protective, and pretty much scared of every little danger. But he willingly goes out into the scary, dangerous, open ocean to find his son, Nemo.

He is flawed: he gets scared, he becomes impatient with Dory, he loses hope… But he works through all this and ends up a giant hero in my eyes 🙂

2. Joe Reaves, Empire Records (1995)

Joe Reaves isn’t the father of all the misfits working at Empire Records, but he sure is a great father figure.

From telling a nearly-suicidal Debra that he’s proud of her, to holding Lucas accountable for his actions (and also taking him in), Joe is the perfect father to a group of teens that no one else wants to give a chance to.

3. Logan, Logan (2017)

Logan was such an amazing movie! A young (and difficult) girl is thrown into Logan’s world, and he has a choice ~ help her, or not.

The dynamics between Logan and Laura are a back-and-forth that is at times hilarious, other times heart-wrenching, and always full of humanity and flaw and love. Logan’s character arc is nothing without this little girl, and he quickly became my favorite story father.

What about you?

  1. I LOVE Steve Martin in Fathrr of the Bride. Never having a male figure in my life Ive always been curious about those amazing father and daughter close realtionships…
where there is an actual decent man in the family a young girl can safely rely on.
